This homemade lemonade is a simple, classic that everyone can enjoy. It is a perfect drink for a hot summer’s day.

Ingredients
1¾ cups sugar (350 g)
8 cups water (2 l)
1½ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (375 ml)
Method
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water, bring to a boil and stir to dissolve sugar.
- Remove saucepan from heat and allow mixture to cool to room temperature.
- Cover saucepan and refrigerate until chilled.
- Remove seeds from lemon juice, but leave the pulp.
- In a pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups of water.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
